Anti-Spam Policy
Last updated: July 12, 2026
CityLocal.ai has zero tolerance for spam. This policy applies to anyone using the CityLocal.ai website, platform, or reseller program to contact residents, businesses, or leads.
What counts as spam
- Unsolicited bulk email, SMS, or messaging to recipients who have not opted in.
- Misleading sender names, subject lines, or "from" addresses.
- Purchased, harvested, or scraped contact lists.
- Repeated messaging after a recipient has unsubscribed or opted out.
- Any messaging that violates CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR, TCPA, or similar laws.
What we require
- Clear, provable opt-in for every recipient of marketing messages.
- Accurate sender identity and physical address in email footers.
- A visible, working unsubscribe mechanism in every marketing message.
- Prompt processing of unsubscribe and do-not-contact requests.
- Reasonable frequency limits and honest, non-deceptive content.
Transactional messaging
Transactional messages tied to a service the recipient requested (account, booking, billing, lead notification) are permitted without marketing opt-in, provided they are strictly transactional and not used as a cover for promotion.
Enforcement
We investigate every credible spam complaint. Violations may result in warnings, suspension, or permanent termination of the offending account without refund, and may be reported to upstream providers and regulators.
Reporting abuse
If you believe you received spam sent through CityLocal.ai, please forward the full message with headers to partners@citylocal.ai. We acknowledge every report and act on those we can verify.
